Ferry Law was proud to be a sponsor of the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut’s (BIAC) 2021 Virtual Professional Conference.
The CT Breast Health Initiative of 2021 – a virtual Race in the Park, allowed CT BHI to fund innovative breast cancer research in Connecticut. Ferry Law was a proud sponsor of this event.
Ferry Law was proud to be a sponsor of the 2nd Dog Star Rescue Telethon. Not only did we financially support this event, but Attorney Ferry was one of the performers (in a duet on the Tibetan Singing Bowls). Dog Star Rescue was able to raise over $20,000 from this event. Every dollar counts for these nonprofit organizations, and we are proud to be a part of it.
Recently, the staff of Ferry Law assisted with vegetable harvest at the Community Farm of Simsbury which is a branch of Gifts of Love in Avon. Gifts of Love assists families in 30 Connecticut towns in meeting their basic needs.
The individuals and families Gifts of Love and Community Farm of Simsbury serve often face a short-term financial crisis due to reduced work hours, illness, divorce, death of a spouse/mate, exiting an abusive relationship, or a significant unexpected increase in expenses. By helping clients meet their most basic needs through food, clothing, housewares, linens and furniture, we enable them to focus on putting their lives back in order and attaining financial independence. Clients can visit the Agency for services once per month for up to one year.
It was our pleasure to be able to help our neighbors by assisting in bringing fresh, organic produce to the tables of those who need it most.
Race in the Park is to be held on Saturday, May 9, at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain (directly across the street from the Ferry Law office). The Connecticut RACE IN THE PARK is held each May on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Thousands of people will be there to participate in race day festivities and events while honoring cancer survivors, remembering those they’ve lost, and just celebrating life. This race raises funds important to advance the fight against breast cancer in Connecticut. 100% of the money is raised in Connecticut. 100% of it stays in Connecticut. We are proud to be a part of it. Come see us at our Ferry Law booth!

At Ferry Law, the personal injury attorneys and support staff members believe in being in involved and giving back to the community where they work. That is why we chose to sponsor a New Britain Habitat for Humanity Job Site and participate in the construction of a home on the site on August 1, 2019. Our team worked on building a porch for the house, finishing the bathroom, installing trim and floors and roofing. To celebrate our team work and all the fun we had, we finished the day with a celebration at a local Jamaican restaurant where we noshed on Jamaican patties and beer. We look forward to many other opportunities to serve our community.
Staff members from FerryLaw participated this year in the Habitat for Humanity public service day, May 30, 2018. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit multi-service agency helping individuals and families obtain housing. 90% of the labor used for projects is volunteer, allowing them to keep costs down so that they are able to provide affordable, simple, decent home-ownership opportunities to low-income families.
The team at FerryLaw rolled up their sleeves and got busy hauling wood, hanging sheetrock and even drilling a few holes in several homes located in Hartford, CT during our last Habitat for Humanity day last fall. This time we helped our friends in our own backyard, New Britain.
