Years of Service
Attorney Monique S. Foley attended the University of Connecticut where she obtained her B.S. in Communications and graduated with honors. She went on to obtain her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003. She graduated from law school with a health law certificate which encompasses a concentration on the legal implications of a rapidly changing health care industry and its impact on clients. She was admitted to both the State of Connecticut and Connecticut Federal District Court Bars in 2004. Her focus today includes personal injury, workers’ compensation and criminal defense.
Attorney Foley was named by Connecticut Magazine as a Rising Star ® in 2009 and 2010 for the General Personal Injury Plaintiff category. She was also named Top 10 Attorney for the State of Connecticut by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys, Inc., and Top Rated Lawyer by the Legal Community for 2017 and 2018 by AVVO. This year Attorney Foley was chosen as a 2018 Connecticut Rising Star, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Connecticut receive this distinction.
In 2020 Attorney Foley has been selected by a peer or the Lawyers of Distinction Selection Committee. Lawyers of Distinction is the fastest growing legal organization in the United States, recognizing excellence in the practice of law.
“I am passionate about serving my clients and acting as a strong advocate to ensure I protect all of their rights. Some of my most impassioned cases have involved helping those suffering from serious and catastrophic injuries, including a man who had his leg crushed in a motorcycle accident, resulting in his leg amputation; as well as the death of a teenage boy who was killed by a drunk driver who consumed alcohol at a friend’s house where the parents were home and knew or should have known underage drinking was taking place.”
Attorney Foley accepts pro bono assignments from Greater Hartford Legal Aid.
“Fight for what you believe in and believe enough to never stop fighting for those beliefs.”
I enjoy vacationing and have traveled to over ten different countries and islands. I try to add a new one each year. I also love enjoying time with family and try to incorporate exercise and a healthy lifestyle in my routine. Although I am a native New Jersey gal, my last fifteen plus years as a Connecticut resident have made me a Red Sox fan. I also love a good scary movie or the right love story. My other passion besides law is acting. I grew up as an infant staring in All My Children and doing Pampers commercials with my identical twin sister. I hope someday to re-join the Actors Guild and do a little acting on the side. Right now, law provides the stage I enjoy most and am most comfortable with.
